Georgia Advanced Technology Ventures Inc. (GATV) is a Georgia non-profit corporation that is organized and operated exclusively as a supporting organization to and for the benefit of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Its primary purpose is to foster and support education, scientific research, and economic development throughout the state of Georgia.
In furtherance of its purpose, GATV’s major initiatives include:
Technology Commercialization — GATV supports the development and commercialization of technology developed at the Georgia Institute of Technology with support from philanthropic foundations, corporate partners, and venture investors.
Incubator Services — GATV leases space and provides services to incubator companies enrolled in the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) and to investors, professional services firms, and others interested in the success of ATDC.
Real Estate Development — GATV acquires and develops properties near the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology to address the academic and planning goals of the Institute and the needs of technology companies interested in an affiliation with the Georgia Institute of Technology.
